Satisfactory Academic Progress

Qualitative Measurement

A Financial Aid Warning letter will be sent to students whose Calvary Theological Seminary cumulative grade point average is less than 2.000. Receiving this letter means the student is allowed to receive Calvary scholarship assistance or Federal Student Financial Aid for one more semester. If his/her Calvary CGPA is not raised to 2.000 by the end of that semester, the student will be ineligible for further Calvary funded scholarships or Federal Student Financial Aid. A Financial Aid suspension letter will be sent, which serves as formal notification to the student. A student can come off of Financial Aid Suspension once he/she completes a semester while on suspension and raises the CGPA to 2.000 or above.

Calvary's policy also contains a quantitative measurement of satisfactory academic progress (e.g., maximum time frame for completion), mitigating circumstances, appeal procedures and other elements required by Federal regulation. Contact the Financial Aid office for more details about the quantitative measurement of satisfactory academic progress.
