Christian Ministry

Comprehesive Approach

The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry is an individually designed program of study for students interested in a specialized Christian ministry that is not offered by Calvary Theological Seminary. The program is comprised of the 39-hour core program in addition to an 18 - 21 hour focus area of study transferred from another accredited, graduate level institution. This gives the student the freedom to sharpen their education in a specific area of interest while providing him with a Calvary Theological Seminary degree. The student must submit a proposal to the Seminary Committee justifying the focus course of study as a Christian Ministry. Examples of possible programs are: missions, chaplaincy, worship, children's ministry, church history, philosophy, church planting, etc.

Objectives:

  • That the student build a solid foundation of biblical knowledge that can be used for practical, effective ministry.
  • That the student develop proficiency in a specialized field that is appropriate to a specific ministry.
  • That the student have an opportunity to use his gifts and interests to the glory of God.
